Gravatar PNG colour problem (Gravatar support sent me to this forum instead)

    I’m having some trouble uploading a PNG logo with transparency to Gravatar. The greyscale colours seem to get shifted yet the transparency remains. I don’t know enough about the PNG format to know what’s going on here but it’s quite annoying! I’ve tried outputs from Illustrator and Photoshop (RGB/8) yet another image I have (also RGB/8) works fine. I finally tried removing the transparent part of the image but the problem persists. The only thing that works is JPEG but this obviously loses the transparency aspect which I would prefer to have.
