Google Apps Digital Signature for Email – DKIM — TXT record too long
-
Hi there,
Google Apps just released a new service using the DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) standard. However, to utilize this, I need to insert a TXT record. However, there seems to be a 192 character limit in WordPress’ domain management, and the key Google gave me is around 230 characters.
My specific blog is registered through GoDaddy, but my nameservers are through WordPress b/c I wanted to map my domain. So, I believe the TXT record does indeed need to go through WordPress.
See Google for more info on this:

Thanks much,

It’s not currently possible to add TXT records longer than 192 characters using the WordPress.com DNS editor, but it’s a future planned update and we will notify you as soon as we are able to make that option available. You can get around the problem by hosting DNS through an outside provider, but that involves checking and re-creating all of your DNS records manually and we do not provide support for custom DNS setups. If you purchased your domain through WordPress.com, you can get access to managing your own DNS through the domain manager.

Dear Vanillalounge:
I have the exact same problem as Nickdag’s. Do you know when the update will be implemented, and if so, how we could be notified of the update?
Many thanks!
