Get out of Archives
-
I am new here and I am having an awful time with this. I did a post last week and another today. I want my original to remain on top on the front page and the next below and so on. My first page got put into archives and the next is now my home page. I went to the reading configuration support but it does not give me the answer. Please help!

myfrogpatch,
When you ask questions in these forums, it is very helpful for you to provide a link to your name. Or better yet, link your name to your blog—that’s a benefit for you as well: see #2 on this list from the top of the forum:

What you are asking is the exact opposite of the way a blog works. A blog always has the newest post on top, the second-newest below that, and so on. You CAN reverse this order, but it’s not easy:

Hello myfrogpatch, you also have the option making the interduction
a sticky post WordPress FAQ > Sticky Posts -
@myfrogpatch, make the introduction post a “sticky post” that way it will stay at the top of the blog until you “unstick” it.
-
Thanks. I made the sticky but it came up on the bottom of the page intead of the top as the first post. Can I move it up?
