Free. Really free ?

    I just created my website.

    In the dashboard, it says “Free domain with an annual plan”. What does it mean ?

    I am a student and do not want to pay, even after a year. Will it still be free after a year ?

    When you buy an annual plan, https://wordpress.com/pricing/, the custom domain is free for the first year.
    But you have a site http://reibelmichael.wordpress.com/ on the Free Plan.

    I assume you haven’t paid to create https://reibelmichael.wordpress.com/ which is a free site with a .wordpress.com subdomain address.
    They could word “free domain with an annual plan” better. What it means is if you pay for an upgraded plan you can register a custom domain (an address that doesn’t end in .wordpress.com) free for the first year. Year 2 you pay to renew the upgraded plan and also pay to renew the custom domain.
    If that’s not something that interest you then you can continue with your free site for as long as you wish.
