How can I write a post in an outline format?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to an outline for an essay or paper? That sort of “outline”?

So, if it doesn’t have to be strict “outline” style, you can use the “ol” (ordered list) option.
1. It makes
  
  Lists
  
  like
  
  this
  
  and
2. this
You can also try using the info here to force a more “official” outline numbering style:

The outline style sort of worked, however, once I used it for the first section I have been unable to get the following sections to return to the edge of the page.

That sounds like you have a missing closing “ol” tag. Looks like this:

</ol>

I solved the problem by using the “indent” and “unindent” options. Thanks for the input.
