Fixing Chateau custom CSS colours
-
Need a bit of help – a few months ago the Chateau theme changed the way it handled CSS color information (as detailed in this thread):
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/colours-gone-haywire?replies=14
I’ve changed the content area to black using the information provided there, but is there any way to change the rest of the background (currently a dark slate grey) to black too?
At the moment, the main page (above) shows the problem quite well – the content area itself is black (as I want it to be!), but the sidebars, widgets etc are grey. On pages (for example http://motownjunkies.co.uk/index/) the entire background is dark grey. What do I need to change to make it black?
Thanks!

The background color of the body of the page is defined as grey. The sidebars and such are transparent and take on the body’s background color. To change it you just need to add this to the Custom CSS editor:
body { background-color: #000; }
I think this covers all the places that gray (#191819) shows up.
