favicon/Blavatar upload issues
-
How can I check if a Blavatar was uploaded correctly? After uploading and cropping, it’s not visible in the General Seetings page – is that correct or has something gone wrong then?
Is the favicon only displayed under certain circumstances, like i.e. when using a paid account?
Thanks!
Klaus

The uploader in the blog doesn’t work – you’ve got to go directly to http://en.gravatar.com/ .
(Please search the forum before asking questions: this has been answered repeatedly.)

They’re asking about a Blavatar, not a Gravatar.
Staff fixed the Blavatar feature about a week ago. Try re-uploading it, and if that dosen’t work – clear your cache and do a full restart. Otherwise it may just be taking some time to upload.

The Blavatar feature may or may not be fixed:

I’ve found a trick that seems to work – at least for me. When the crop box comes up, grab one of the crop handles, move it around a little and then back to where it was in the first place, and then click the “crop” button. That is what I have to do to get a new blavatar uploaded.

Adding just for future reference if others find this thread:
– If the upload worked, then the image is indeed shown in the upper right of your “General Settings”
– the favicon also works in free blogsCheers
