Fatal Error/Can't Get Access To Page

I’ve got a Facebook friend who has this problem. I’m posting for her since she can’t get access to her page:

“People who know their WordPress stuff I need you! Basically I tried installing a new theme on my site and it came up with this fatal error. From there it wouldn’t let me do ANYTHING. I couldn’t click on a single thing without it going to this message, including trying to undo this and revert back to the old theme or even go to the dashboard or something as simple as that. Then it started saying I didn’t have access to the account and was claiming my password was wrong. It took me hours just to reset my password and after I did, the login worked once but the fatal error came up again as soon as I was signed in and then when I tried logging in again, I no longer have access again even though I JUST reset the password. So basically I’ve lost access to my own account and even if I did have it I am unable to do anything. There doesn’t seem to be any tech support for wordpress and I need access to my own damn site back!”

What’s the URL of this friend’s page?

Since she has said ‘installing a new theme’, it makes me wonder if it is really a wordpress.COM hosted website, and not a wordpress.ORG self-hosted one. Because you can’t install new themes to wordpress.com you can change themes, but not install new ones. If this is the case you need to direct your friend over to http://wordpress.org/support for assistance, since this forum is wordpress.COM support only. Sorry.

I should also state this, which Kelsey just told me:

“the address is .com but I bought the URL through godaddy first and then had wordpress installed so I guess it’s different than just having a wordpress site from the beginning.”

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. We provide support here only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and no others. You are posting to the wrong support forums. If you or your friend don’t have a username account at WordPress.org click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.org bloggers.

I am having the same problem, however, my site is a wordpress.com site. http://www.kristakrause.com

The message reads, “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare of_admin_head() (previously declared in /home/kcmkrause/kristakrause.com/site/wp-content/plugins/options-framework/options-framework.php:297) in /home/kcmkrause/kristakrause.com/site/wp-content/themes/illuminate/admin/admin-interface.php on line 445”
