embeding a wordpress section outside directory

    I have done this before but after searching for an hour I’m unable to find the info again. There was a small section of code to go at the very top of the page and another small snippet in the page wherever you wanted it (i.e <?php wp_calendar(); ?> ), you simply save the page as .php and update by logging in normally to (your installed) wordpress. Anyone know what that code is for the top of the page or where i can find it? Its really helpful and Id rather use it than rss.
