Embedding Tweets
-
I have embedded tweets into my posts, but when I publish them they come up as quotes rather than an image of the tweet (a visual frame around the tweet with the follow button, like button, etc.). Here’s a link to my post that I am talking about: sparemetheupdate.wordpress.com/2017/10/22/howiwillchange/
How can I change this? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
How did you embed the tweet?
You can find instructions on how to embed a tweet here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/twitter/twitter-embeds/I’ve just tested embedding a tweet using the same theme you’re using (Dara), and it worked fine.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi. You want to make sure that you are using the URL and not copying the actual tweet and when you paste it into your page, do not format it at all.
Also, the shortcode seems to work best:
[tweet https://twitter.com/Alyssa_Milano/status/919659438700670976]
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice all. I had initially copied the embed link that twitter offers. It seemed just simply putting the link to the tweet in my post change it to incorporate the media along with the tweet rather than the tweet in quotations.
