Email Followers not showing up?
-
Hello!
In regards to my blog https://felicia1993blog.wordpress.com/ for one of my college classes, my professor requires to be following via email to receive updates from my blog. Though, It does not show her as a follower any more – When
I try to add her again, it says she is already a follower (But when I check my followers list, it says I do not have any followers) and wont let me try to add her again. If you could help solve this issue that would be most appreciative! -

Here at wordpress.COM subscribers control their own subscriptions and the frequency re: receiving our posts. We cannot subscribe for them on their behalf or adjust their subscription settings for them. They have to act.
See here for installing the follow blog widget https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
You can also use the Blog Subscription Shortcode https://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscription-shortcode/
For more on following see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/following/

Sorry if I didn’t clarify the problem enough – but these answers don’t really solve my problem. My only email follower/subscriber does NOT show up on any of those lists of links given to me. Though when trying to invite her via email again, it says she is already added even though I do NOT see her on any lists followers or subscribers.

What is that person’s wordpress.com username account and email address please? Note that you can type the email address here in its appropriate format and the software will redact it, so only Staff can see it.

Thanks for that added information for Staff. All you need now is patience. -
I didn’t think I was highjacking this thread as I thought this was related to the topic of email followers not showing up on the followers list which may be linked to a bigger problem than what is happening with just this group. By my commenting, I was hoping to show that maybe this was happening to others as well. Since the timing of this topic occurred at the same time that I noticed this phenomenon, I thought they maybe they were related. I apologize if this was inconsiderate of me.

Hi vsimon22,
I checked and confirmed that your professor is already following your blog. If she followed your blog while she wasn’t logged in to her WordPress.com account, that can sometimes affect how she’ll show up as a follower, but in any case I can confirm that she is subscribed to get updates on the blog.
If she isn’t receiving those updates, or if this is a concern for other students, please ask your professor to get in touch directly so we can investigate any issues with that.
