Edin: How to make post page feature image full width
-
Hi,
I’ve been trying to widen the featured image of my Edin-themed website’s Post, and make it full width (i.e. to eliminate the white space on the sides).
I’ve tried the CSS:
@media screen and (min-width: 1024px) { .no-sidebar .content-area { width: 900px; } } .post-thumbnail img { width: 100%; }
but I don’t seem to be able to do what I wanted to.
Example: https://thelanguaginglab.com/2021/01/03/the-year-old-problem-when-to-use-a-hyphen/
Is there actually a way to do the widening of the featured image, please? Would appreciate any input!

Hi thelanguaginglab, layout changes are outside the scope of CSS support we can offer there, but have you tried setting the theme’s media width? That’s a setting just below the Custom CSS box. That way you’ll get larger images to work with, which may help.

Thank you @supernovia.
I found the media width setting under the Custom CSS box. If I were to change it, would the change affect all Pages and Posts or just Posts, please?

That is a global setting that affects your entire site. So all images inserted at Full Size will use the width setting you enter there, regardless of where on your site they appear.
This will not prevent you from resizing individual images to make them smaller.
