Duster – Featured Image
-
Hi, I just started running ‘Duster’ on my blog a couple of hours ago. I just made a sticky post with a featured image, but the image overlaps the right margin of the theme. What am I doing wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please post the complete URL for the blog in question starting with http://
P.S. There are numerous threads on the Duster theme in the forum searchbox. The brief tutorial is found here > http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/duster/

Complete URL:
http://shoutlove.ca/Thanks, I already read through it before I created a featured post, but I’m obviously confused somewhere…

If you are talking about the grey bar to the right of the image, that is part of the design.
See my test blog: http://medicinewheel.wordpress.com/ .
And see the main Duster theme page here: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/duster/ .

I get the same bar out to the right. Is there any way to get rid of that? It looks awful.

It’s supposed to be there. The theme designer deliberately included it there and there is no easy way to get rid of it.
I can’t speak for the 2 Volunteers who help people with CSS editing after they purchase the CSS upgrade, but given the complexity of the theme and stylesheet I doubt that they will be eager to help you remove it even if you do purchase an annually renewable CSS upgrade. Perhaps your best courses of action are to accept it, or to choose another theme. http://theme.wordpress.com/

Set the background color for you site to this: #BBBBBB. Then your background color is the same as the strip.
-
Or use the large image option:

(You’ll need to go to Settings>Media and set Large to 1000, then upload 1000px wide images.) -
