Drop down menus and pages

  • Hello,

Is there a way to make the page that sits atop the drop down menu a dead link? For example, the page is “fishing” but I have several drop-down categories (fly fishing, spin fishing, ice fishing, etc) for users to select. Therefore, there is no need to click the top “fishing” page, as all the content is categorized below. I’d like to make this a heading instead of a clickable page. Is this possible?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Your blog is private and we cannot see the theme you are using. Does this help? It applies to the Duster and Twenty Eleven theme.

Question: How can I remove the page titles so they don’t appear in the body of the page? (Duster and Twenty Twelve)

The tab in the top nav menu doesn’t have to be the actual page title, so here’s what you can do:

Edit the pages and delete their titles.
Go to Appearance>Menus and create a custom menu. Select your (now nameless) pages from the Pages module, click Add to Menu. Click the arrow at the right side of each page module to open it, type the title in the Navigation Label field. Click Save Menu, select the menu from the Theme Locations pulldown, click Save. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/duster-theme-double-headers?replies=5#post-616357

  • Hi,

I was hoping to find out something about the Twenty Twelve theme and I can’t find a suitable answer as yet. This seems to be the closest to the problem I am trying to solve but it doesn’t quite.

What I am trying to do is all to do with the menu. On my site – http://www.icebreaker-bd.com – you will see that there is a “our services” dropdown tab. However, I don’t want the “our services” link to be clickable. I would like that to just be text, then when you hover over it, it reacts in exactly the same way as it does now; the dropdown appears and you can click on any three of the links.

The page “our services” is actually unnecessary and hence the reason I want to get rid of it (but to still have the page saying “our services”).

Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I am struggling!

    Thank you
