Downgrade from Business to Premium

  • Hello, i removed the premium plan from my site as i wanted to work on setting up details with the business plan. (the help section advised to proceed this way, to be able to purchase the business plan).

    However, now i cant add the premium plan to the shopping cart, i keep getting an error message stating this plan dont work on my site. However, it is not clear to me why. I had deactivated all plugins related to the shop. Any suggestions?

    To be able to upgrade to the Premium plan we first need to downgrade your site from the Business plan. This process will delete all of your site’s data so I need your confirmation before proceeding.

  • Hi there, I already removed the business plan. But I still can’t upgrade to premium. Why is that? And what data would be deleted?

  • Hi @deviantrising, we need to get it downgraded properly first, then you’ll be able to upgrade. The main issue is that the Premium plan does not support third party themes and plugins, so those and any customizations and content associated with them will be lost:

    • Plugins and third-party themes will be removed and cannot be added to Premium
    • The site will likely revert to using a theme you had prior to upgrading
    • We’ll do our best to migrate any content over, but there is some potential for loss, as any custom content created by plugins and themes may not be carried over
    • The site will be set to private when we downgrade it, so you have a chance to fix the theme and whatnot as needed.
    • If needed, you can make a backup of the site first.

    If all of that works for you, respond here and we can help you get downgraded properly. Thanks!
