Domain Name Unlock

    Hi,

    I am trying to transfer my domain name. I am did request the authorization code by email, and started the transfer to godaddy. However, now godaddy is saying the transfer has been paused by wordpress. It says the domain is still locked.

    I tried to see if I could unlock the domain here at wordpress, but just get this message ‘An error occurred while trying to send the Domain Transfer code. Please try again or Contact Support if you continue to have trouble.’.

    How do I unlock the domain for transfer?

    Hi @prodseminars, can you be sure you’re logged into the account you used to buy the domain? Only the domain owner can initiate a transfer.

    You should be able to see the account under https://wordpress.com/people — select the site and you’ll see its team members. The other one has ownership over the upgrade.
