Domain Mapping

Can I use CNAME records to map my domain name instead of using WordPress.com name servers?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, you can! The instructions for mapping a particular subdomain to a WordPress.com site are included here:

If you need any help with getting set up, just ask and someone will be happy to help.

Thank you @mikestraw
My question is about mapping my domain name and not a sub domain name.

Hi there,
CNAME records cannot be used to map a domain, no, as the purpose of CNAMEs are to create subdomains on the root. While it’s technically possible to set a CNAME on a domain that references the domain itself, that would prevent any other DNS records you set on the root from working.
The root can only be pointed to us by setting our name servers, or by setting up A-records in the DNS pointing to our IP addresses. We recommend using name servers rather than A records.
