Do I need to give credit to photos I purchase from istockphoto?

    I have purchased photos from istockphoto and have used some for my blog, including my home page. A friend recently told me I should give credit when I use these type of photos? I thought since I paid for them I had the “right” to use them in this manner (as opposed to selling the image or to make money in some way from them).

    Can you let me know if I am being compliant?

    You need to read the purchase agreement and terms of service, copyright guidelines at istockphoto and see exactly what they require – sometimes you are required to credit the original source and sometimes not – that is determined by the original copyright owner.
