Distraction free, where is the button?
-
Hello people,
I get this popup just now, offering me “Distraction free” writing – evidently it is *enabled* on my blog, BUT… how do I remove the distractions? I keep mousing all over the place but the editor remains the same, nothing disappears.
Can anyone offer guidance here? Thank you in advance,
Mabel Amber

Oh wait, maybe that is some feature of the Beep Beep Boop thingy – I am still using the “classic” editor which I get to using the “Blog posts” link in the left hand side bar.

Hello Mabel,
The distraction-free writing is available in the classic editor. The icon to click is near the red arrow in this screenshot:
https://cloudup.com/cGEj0CZcHUUIf you don’t see the icon on your editor screen, click the Screen Options tab in the upper right. Then tick the box next to “Enable full-height editor and distraction-free functionality.”.

Hi micawbr,
Thank you!
Well, to be sure I missed that icon indicated in the screenshot, it does indeed show up on my editor since the box to enable distraction free is enabled.
I clicked on it just now and works like a charm.
Thanks again :)
Mabel A.
