Disable Notify me of new posts by email.

    I help a buddy out with his personal blog. Recently he upgraded to version 3.2.1 and now, when a user goes to view an attachment, there appears two additional options below the usual comments form:

    Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
    Notify me of new posts by email.

    I did some research and it would seem you are to disable this via Settings/Discussion, but those options are not there. He would like to have these options removed on the pages that display attachments such as images. Here is an example:

    How would I go about accomplishing this?
