-
I’m using the Sandbox theme and have the CSS upgrade – – is it possible to remove the post date with this theme?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is exactly what I want to do!
However, the code that @thesacredpath provided does not work with the MistyLook theme: http://piecesandpix.wordpress.com/ (I tried the proposed code in CSSPreview mode…no dice.)
Thanks in advance! I will buy the CSS editing package if I know that I can actually remove the dates using that package.

CSS is theme specific, so seldom will one solution work for multiple themes.
In MistyLook you cannot remove just the date because there is no separate class or ID assigned to the date. The following will get rid of the date and the author.
.postmetadata { display: none; }

Hey @thesacredpath! You helped me alot the other day with background on post removal…thanks! Unfortunately I am trying to do the same thing (get rid of postdate and author) but none of the codes i’ve found have worked :-(. I am using the Matala theme…
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance…only cause I know you always have the answers! ;-)

Yey it worked!! But there’s still this stupid little image that I thought was a part of it that is still there :-/. It looks like an ‘album’ thumbnail but there’s nothing attached to it.
Thanks for all your help!!

Ahh actually it is liked to the comment box…that I had got rid off…hmmm will have to look into that one!

Actually…@thesacredpath, I really can’t work this one out :-( any thoughts?
Got rid of the comment/reply box again but still have this annoying link!

Finally the forums are back from the white screen of death.
This will get rid of it.
.post-format-icon { display: none; }

I am using twenty eleven w/ CSS upgrade trying all of these to remove the posted on date. I tried all of the above and the one that partially works is:
.entry-date {
display: none;
}
however it still says “posted on” (but no date). Can I remove the whole thing? I am trying to do a static home page.
Thanks! -
Each theme has it’s own CSS, so you have to use the right rules for the theme you’ve got.
This will hide the date on posts in the Twenty Eleven theme:
.entry-meta { display: none; }

@browndirt…. edible garden consultation sounds neat to me. :)
May I recommend using the built in gallery feature to display images on your gallery page? http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/
Also, think about using gallery as a category menu item and adding new galleries as blog posts if you plan to add new pictures over time.

Great thanks! I’m going to get working on it later today and see how it goes! Thanks for the suggestions!
