Creating a Multi-Column Menu for a Primary Menu

  • Context: I’m working on a class project for a school’s website. When a user hovers over a menu item, the item should should have three columns to divide submenu items.

Question: How do I make this possible when the menu is primary and NOT a top menu?

I attempted to do this with the Max Mega Menu plugin, but the mega menu feature only works for TOP menus. I’m planning on using CSS code within the plugin. If you have any ideas or code that would help, please let me know.
