If you just want to copy a paragraph from another website into your own website you can just mark the text, right click and choose copy. Then when you are logged into you WordPress.com account you can just right click and choose paste in the post you cant the content.
You should maybe link to the site you have copied the content from to be nice to the original author though.

Thanks. That is what I am doing, but it won’t paste. Tried it several times. Using iPad Pro, so no right click. Frustrating.

If this document does not help https://apps.wordpress.org/support/ then here is the link for the iOs forum for the WordPress app http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/ so you can post there http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and make our developers aware of the issue.

On the iPad Pro you just need to hold your finger on the text that you want to copy for a couple of seconds, a popup menu will appear when you let go where you can choose to copy text.
Then when you have logged into your WordPress.com account you can hold your finger at the spot you cant the text to be pasted for a couple of seconds and the same popup menu will appear but this time with a paste option.
I just tried this on my iPad pro on the WordPress.com web app and it works.
