Confit theme mobile no longer renders correctly
-
I noticed this recently that if you load my latest blog entry on a mobile device, the layout no longer renders correctly.
This is also reported by my reader
https://twitter.com/vinnylozada/status/551424915782782976It seems to work only on chrome emulators but not on real devices.
Any idea why this is happening?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I temporarily fixed it by enabling the mobile theme but confit was supposed to be responsive :(

Confit is a responsive layout theme. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout/?sort=free
A responsive layout theme adapts to different screen sizes so that your website will work (and be optimized for) iPhones, iPads, Android and other mobile devices. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.
The mobile theme is a completely different theme. When we use a responsive theme we disable the mobile theme Go to > Appearance > Mobile and disable the mobile theme

I totally understand what you are saying.
I’m telling the responsiveness of confit is BROKEN
To reproduce,
View my site on a mobile device – it loads the mobile theme right now but if you click on “view full site” you will see how it’s broken.
Previously I did not enable mobile theme and it worked fine. -
View my site specifically this link http://pure-essence.net/2014/12/31/yoga-poses-that-help-my-lower-back-pain/ – the rest of the site seems to be fine but individual blog entries do not work.

Thanks for the report and screenshots.
I’ve done some testing but so far I haven’t been able to replicate the issue on iPhone 5s / Safari / iOS 8.1.2, so I’d like to ask you for a bit more information:
1) Would it be possible to find out what OS and browser your reader took that screenshot from? (i.e. iOS 8.1.2 & Safari)
2) Could you let me know what browser your screenshot is from and what OS (i.e Kitkat & Chrome)?
3) Do you see the same issue on the Confit demo site on your Android Mini?
https://confitdemo.wordpress.com/
These specifics will help us try to replicate and hopefully get closer to solving the issue. Thanks for your help.

I’m using chrome on my droid mini which is on version 4.4.4
I’ve contacted my reader for his spec. Will post once I hear back from him.

Thanks for the info about your device.
Could you also please take a look at the Confit demo on your Droid mini and let me know:
3) Do you see the same issue on the Confit demo site on your Android Mini?

Thanks for testing the demo, that’s helpful. We’ll have a deeper look and see if we can identify the problem. I’ll keep you posted here.

I don’t think this should affect anything, but since I can’t yet reproduce, could you try removing (or commenting out) these two pieces of your custom CSS to see if the issue goes away:
#masthead { background: url('http://pe20110517.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/roof.png') no-repeat left top transparent; margin: 0 auto; } div.pure-essence:after { content: ""; position: absolute; border: 0 solid transparent; border-top: 3px solid #9B1B1E; border-radius: 20px 0 0 0; top: -12px; left: -9px; width: 12px; height: 12px; -webkit-transform: rotate(45deg); -moz-transform: rotate(45deg); -ms-transform: rotate(45deg); -o-transform: rotate(45deg); }
-
We think we’ve found the culprit causing the mobile display issue. Could you please re-check your site and let me know if it’s OK now?

There was a glitch in the way mobile ads were being displayed in some themes. We’ve deactivated ads on your site until it can be resolved. Thanks for your patience while we figured this out!
