comments & posted by have disappeared

Did you recently change themes? If so, themes are all different in what they show and where they show it.
Comments do not show up on the main page, just on the individual post pages. That’s the normal way blogs work.
Posted by shows at the bottom of your posts along with the category and comment link.

@ tsp, That’s what I thought of until I checked the blog. I see the information there (although of course comments don’t show on the front page, just the comment count).
I’m using Firefox on Windows 98.

hi. i forgot to mention that the most current post is showing posted by and the comment count just fine but the other 2 posts aren’t showing at all and they were previously. i did change some comment moderation buttons so i don’t have to approve every comment. i’ll try changing it back and see what happens.

i meant the other 2 posts aren’t showing the “comment count” and “posted by” sections on the frontpage. the posts themselves are showing.

Im curious to see what happens, our problems seem similar, see my post a few topics down

i still have no fix for this. when i post a new post the info shows up on the frontpage but then the next blogpost’s info disappears. help!!

@reflectionlj
Try switching themes. I am beginning to think that is the way emire was designed (although it seems to be a strange way to design one). I switched to it on my test blog and it does the same thing. -
I just looked at the designer’s website and emire shows post data ONLY on the most recent post.
-
thanks. shoot, i don’t want to switch themes as i do like the design of this one. originally, i think i was getting comments and authors of various (not just the most recent) posts to show on the front page. i can’t figure this out.
-
There was a wave of theme editing going on to bring the themes into line with what the original designer did (some of them had been modified) so that may be why the change.
-
It could be something that could be changed with the paid CSS upgrade (if you were familiar with CSS) but I don’t know for sure.
