Comment limit?
-
Hey,
I’ve just converted my Live Space to a WordPress Blog and I’ve noticed that a post I made a while ago has lost some of its comments. It now has 100 comments, whereas it used to have around 700. I did a search on the forums and found somebody saying there should be no limit on comments, so is there a way to fix this? I’ve checked on the spam menu of the dashboard but it’s empty.
Any help on this would be great.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is not limit on the number of comments we can moderate, approve and post on worpdpress.com blog. As you have migrated from Windows Live Spaces I believe you will need Staff help. They will resume service on January 3rd. You can reach them using this link. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
More information is found at the top of the forum in this sticky post. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/live-spaces-retrieving-your-lists?replies=1

Hi,
I just checked the blog on your account, and it looks like it actually migrated 1,326 comments.
It can take the importer a few hours to complete. I suppose it’s possible that it wasn’t done when you checked.
Please let us know if you have any more questions!

Might it be showing fewer because they’re nested now? Just a wild guess. I’ve got a post with over two thousand comments, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Hey,
I’ve rechecked and the comments still don’t appear, it’s only on one particular blog entry, the rest seem ok. It does seem odd how its only showing exactly 100 though. Would retrying the copy process sort it? I can tell you the particular entry if that helps.

@aerisgainsborough
I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. Please be patient while waiting for a response. -
Hi,
Unfortunately, it looks like Microsoft has decided to cap migrated comments at 100 per entry. :(
We contacted them about this back in November and still haven’t heard back.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Ah right, that’s kind of lame =(
Fortunately I did also use the download blog option and that’s stored all the comments, it would be nice to see them as part of my online one here though too.
Hopefully they’ll sort it out at some point…

If you contact staff once they’re back they might be able to get the comments up, if you email them the file.
