.com vs .net vs .co

  • I want to register a domain for my coming soon blog, I know that .com is the most popular extension but, The .com is registered -and parked for more than one year so, It’s not affecting my SEO-, Will the .net be noticed like the .com or the people love .com??
I also think of .co, Is it good??

  • Personally, and this is really just my opinion, I think that people don’t trust .net websites. I ran into this issue with my new blog GMDA, and opted to use http://www.GMDA.co for the domain. I’ve seen a number of startup companies start using .co as an extension, likely because the .com is taken but they know what they want the base URL to be. Also I think Twitter uses t.co as its short URL. One hassle that I have admittedly run into is that some browsers don’t render .co as automatic links, and I think they would.

    Test.co
    Test.net

We’ll see if those work. Also one of the nice things of using .co with a short domain name is its one character shorter for Twitter, etc.
