Change wording of "older posts" and "newer posts"
-
I would like to customise the wording of “older posts” (“oudere berichten” in Dutch) and “newer posts” (nieuwere berichten) to something else, for example: “meer lezen”
How could I do that in CSS?
Thanks a lot.
I am using The Morning After theme.

Hi Anneborkent, happy to help. Can you be more specific about the location of this text? I don’t see “oudere berichten” or “nieuwere berichten” anywhere.

Hi there, looking at http://riaborkentdotnl.wordpress.com/, I’m not finding any of places where I see older/newer posts. Can you point me to a location and I’ll work on the code for you.

Sorry, I had temporarily changed settings to display 20 posts on any (archive) page. This means that the “older posts” did not appear since none of my categories includes more than 20 posts.
However, I have now changed it back.
For an example:
https://riaborkentdotnl.wordpress.com/category/gedichtenbundels/gaatjes-in-mijn-oren/page/2/
I would like to change the text of “oudere berichten” to “meer lezen” and of “nieuwere berichten” to “naar begin”

Hoi Anne,
Try this:
.post-navigation .nav-previous a::before { content: "« Meer Lezen"; position: absolute; min-width: 145px; background: white; } .post-navigation .nav-next a::before { content: "Naar Begin »"; position: absolute; min-width: 156px; background: white; }
Let me know if this helps! :)

@anneborkent, give the following a try. The first part hides the existing text and the second two rules adds the new text in.
.post-navigation .nav-previous a, .post-navigation .nav-next { visibility: hidden; } .post-navigation .nav-previous a::before { content: "« Meer Lezen"; visibility: visible; } .post-navigation .nav-next a::after { content: "Naar Begin »"; visibility: visible; }

@anneborkent, I just added the above CSS to the bottom of your Customize > CSS and they changed for me.

Can you try copy/pasting the code again to the bottom of your custom CSS below everything else?

@thesacredpath & @michaelvandenberg
The weird thing is, either of your codes now works.
Previously also entered it at the bottom of the code. In one case (Michael) nothing changed, in the other it became invisible.
However, now both @thesacredpath and @michaelvandenberg codes are working. So that’s good for you to know. Thanks a lot.
