change the background color for the content EVENLY
-
I’m trying to change the background color for the content to light gray (which I know how to do) but unfortunately when i change the .content background color parts stay white- like behind the title, etc. and I want to change it evenly. How can I fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, Evenly is not a theme available here at WordPress.com. The sites associated with your username are using Twenty Fourteen and Wu Wei. Can you give us a link to that site please?

Gaaahhhh! Sorry. I misread your posting. Add the following. I used a bright red so it would be easy to see what all is being changed. You can edit the color code and insert your desired code.
.main-content, .site-content .entry-content, .site-content .entry-summary, .site-content .entry-meta, .page-content, .site-content .entry-header { background: #cc0000; }

Ok only one part more- the overall background. See site: http://electroniccurrent.com/2014/03/09/welcome-to-the-deep-end/

Can you explain what you mean by the overall background? Are you talking about the black areas?

Try adding “.site” to the beginning of thesacredpath’s example like this:
.site, .main-content, .site-content .entry-content, .site-content .entry-summary, .site-content .entry-meta, .page-content, .site-content .entry-header { background: #cc0000; }
Note that some embedded media backgrounds might still be white and cannot be changed (i.e. the SoundCloud players).
