Can't get new post in format that can be opened

    So when I post at the moment I upload media (PDF file). Usually all is good but this time when it shows on my page it can’t be clicked to be opened. All the other postings can…
    It seems to be that the link when published is smaller than usual…
    I have tried finding a way to update my version of WORDPRESS in case that is the issue but can’t seem to find a way to do that
