  I switched to IE 8.0 and now my dashboard goes blank. It works ok with mozilla

  IE8 is still beta and WordPress has stated that they do not start any updating for browsers until they come out of beta and are in final release form. It is like trying to hit a moving target.

  Why don’t you just install firefox parallel to your IE 8? You wouldn’t have to deinstall anything and you would discover how nice wordpress.com blog look like with browsers other than IE.
