what was the solution?
I am on mac, OSX 10.3.9 with safari.
I get same exact problem as guero described.

So, after all these names and systems and versions, etc. tossed around, is there an end all solution, or are some of us simply out because of system incompatabilites?

Well, good news. I was able to add photos today. Still having trouble where they land, but heck, they’re in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
