Can I build site before transferring domain?

    I have a site and domain through another registrar but want plan to switch in the very near future. I do not want to transfer my domain yet but want to rebuild my site in WordPress first to test the program and its functionality. Can I build a new site for my current domain before transferring my domain?

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    Hello.

    Unfortunately, you won’t be able to build your site before transfering your domain, as when a site is built, you are required to select your domain before the site can be created.

    However, ff you already have a domain and the site is already built, then if you wish to change your domain, you can transfer your new domain to your site.
