  Is there a way to customize the icon that appears next to the name of my blog in the brower tab, in the taskbar, and that get stored when I bookmark my blog? By default it is set to WordPress’s “W” symbol, but I haven’t found the option to change it. Thanks!

  No, there isn’t. It’s called a favicon and WordPress has mentioned that in future they might make it customizable, but there’s absolutely no timeline on that currently. I wouldn’t hold my breath.
