I have forgotten how I did it…and things seem to have changed! Thanks

The URL ie. the site address of your site is https://juliamatcham.wordpress.com/
Please see https://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/
You can create a blogroll or related sites no matter where they are hosted. You can create/edit a Blogroll in your Dashboard http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/add-a-blogroll-link/ and then display it by installing the Links widget. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/
We cannot enter links into the widget itself. The Links widget merely displays the links we enter in our dashboard “Links”. We enter a new link this way > http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/add-a-blogroll-link/

Widget Visibility -
Sorry, I am not very smart! It took me many weeks to accomplish what I have with my Blog/gallery. Today I am feeling on a high from having been been able to replace the Header…so I thought maybe I can add to the Blogroll!
OK I shall now try again. Thanks.
There has to be the original Widget there …somewhere.
I seem to remember your name from my struggles in the the distant past!
I expect I will be back! -
It’s called a Links widget. And you cannot add or remove anything from it.
You need to add links to your blogroll in your dashboard Links section
Go to https://juliamatcham.wordpress.com/wp-admin/link-add.php -
Yes I am back!
When I have my front page open ready to edit…there is a pencil to click by my actual existing blog roll. I clicked it expecting it to say ADD but instead a whole panel of problems.
I see a box and choose BLOGROLL
beneath it is another box LINK TITLE…I look for somewhere to write the link…but no opportunity seems to exist…
then there are… Show Link Image
Show Link Name (but nowhere to put it just ticks)
Show Link Description
Show Link Rating
Then bigger box ; Number of links to show:Please tell me how to navigate this. Can’t even see how to do it wrong :-(

Thank you…I will await for events to explain themselves.
It isn’t very important but I had told a friend I would add their website to my list ages ago but rather balked at learning old tricks again…but they are not…they are NEW tricks! All the best. Thanks anyway. -
As usual…it is simple IF YOU KNOW!
Admin> Dashboard>Links> blogroll …Add newDashboard used to be the first thing you saw …now it is hidden under Admin. The most important item/list right at the bottom of the introductory list I just thought they had simplified everything and got rid of Dashboard.
Why on earth when you are editing the page (without going to Dashboard) the (pencil) …when you click on it gives you a page full of choices instead of taking you straight there…WP only knows!!!Next thing …I used to have a nice little Welcome Widget which has disappeared although the edit pencil is till there in position and when I click on it I see another confusing panel but with the code (?) description of the Welcome widget. How do I know if WP no longer allows that Widget or if somehow I can get it back. Takes hours to do anything but I tend to be tenacious! Cheers.
