Blog posts block places title under featured image

  • “Blog posts” blog works fine, except that it places the post title under the featured image, which makes it confusing when browsing through a list of several posts.
    See for example here: https://matjazcrnivec.net/en/

On the home page with the blog roll, the titles are displayed above the image, which is better: https://matjazcrnivec.net/

Is there a way to control this behavior?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi @matjazcrnivec,

Is there a way to control this behavior?

Great question! You could choose one of the other Media layouts for your posts block. Media on the right, for example, could work well with your content.

Use the Blog Post block to insert a list or grid of up to 100 blog posts (or pages, testimonials, or projects) on any page. You can show content based on category, author, or tag, display featured images or excerpts, change the text color, and more. Add the Blog Posts Block To add a Blog Posts block, click the + Block Inserter and search for “blog posts”. Click to add the block to the page

Otherwise, the Query Loop Block handles this nicely. You add a query loop, pick a pattern to start with, and move its elements as you’d like. I’m just not sure whether your current theme would support it, so you may need a newer theme that’s compatible with the site editor. If you want some guidance on that, let us know!
