"blog posts are not in use"
-
When I go to Pages in my dashboard, I see that “blog posts are not in use” and that another page is the front page. The whole section is grayed out, and I don’t see how to turn the posts back on. Can someone please instruct me on how to turn them back on?
I’d like to call the blog section something else (medical articles) and have other pages show up first. Help with that would also be grand.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi trmorrisnd,
It sounds like you have a Static Front Page set up. You can find out how to set up a Blog Page here and your posts will have a place to go: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/#optional-create-a-blog-page
You can set up that Page to be called Medical Articles. Does that help?

Thank you for your reply Dolissa. I do have one page already set as a “Front Page”. Do I need to undo that setting? If so, how do I do that?
Then, how do I set my posts as a new page unto themselves? I don’t see that option anywhere.

If you’d like to put your blog posts on a page other than your front page, you can leave your Front Page setting.
To set your posts as the new Page, you’ll follow the directions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/#optional-create-a-blog-page
Those directions are pretty much to add a new Page to your site. You don’t have to add any text to it. You can call the Page whatever you’d like, so you might call yours Medical Articles. Then go back to the Static Front Page section in your customizer.
Just choose that new page under Posts page.
Please let me know if that’s what you mean to do!
