Authentication
-
I’ve commented on three other blogs today, and I’ve had to login each time, with a different problem with authentication each time. Logging into my account in order to comment elsewhere can log me out of my site. I spent more time logging in than I did commenting.
I wonder if two-factor authentication is part of the problem,
Any suggestions.

Hi Tom! That does sound odd. I am guessing it’s less a thing with 2FA than with some browser setting. Would you be willing to try another browser to see if that makes any difference?

I’ve seen issues with Safari on IOS and Firefox on Windows. So you think it’s a caching issue?

Hey there,
It doesn’t necessarily sound like a caching issue, but perhaps instead with any password managers that may be in use, or saved in the browsers.
To check and rule this out – are you using anything like this currently?
Many thanks in advance!

I’m not using a password manager application, but browsers do offer to store passwords, and I’ve used that. I should be able to clear them in Windows/Firefox, Safari on IOS will take some research.
One workaround is to use WordPress Reader in a browser, which accepts my logged in state. Browser access by URL can ignore it completely, and ask for multiple TFA logins in a single session,.
