Allowing /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

  • Starting work with new client for website work. Noticed robots.txt file looked like this:

    # START YOAST BLOCK # —————————

    User-agent: *

    Disallow:

    Sitemap: https://mexhome.com/sitemap_index.xml # ————————— # END YOAST BLOCK

    Crawl-delay: 10

Normally it doesn’t look like this and they are saying a lot of pages are not showing up or ranking as high.

What should I put or advise them to put instead? This?

    User-agent: * #for all

    Disallow: /wp-admin/

    Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

    Sitemap: https://mexhome/sitemap_index.xml
