adding users without having to join

Hi I am building a site here on wordpress and its a great site building spot. however i am trying to add users to the site and its asking them to join wordpress and to create their own blog.. they dont want to do their own blog they just want to be a part of mine. what can i do to add them without needing them to create a blog.. if this is the case you should change it to have options to do either. thanks please help

They don’t have to create a blog “just a username account please”.
The software has to be able to tell the difference between an official unsername with a username account and login, WordPress.com cookie and a hacker. If one did not need an account t then hackers would be kings of every blog. Hopefully, you comprehend that.
