adding new widgets

  Hi – I would like to add additional widgets to my blog and can´t find any upload area or any listing area for additional widgets I need. What do I need to do?

  What do want to accomplish? Do you have a suggestion for an additional widget?

  The only widgets we can use on WordPress.com are found here:
  dashboard—>appearance—>widgets

  Here is a list of available widgets:

  Hi – Thank you. I understand but I can not find any way to add these widgets to my blog. On any self hosted blog I have the menu “plug in” but not on wordpress.com. So how do I add a new additional widget to my wordpress.com blog as I do not have this “plug in” menu??

  I’m sorry that I wasn’t clear: we cannot use plugins on free-hosted WordPress.com sites.

  As I noted, the only widgets you can use on WordPress.com are these: http://en.support.wordpress.com/category/widgets-sidebars/

  You can make a suggestion for a new widget which might be adapted to this platform.

  Or possibly what you want to do is already available as a widget or short code and I could suggest something to accomplish what you want to do.
