Adding Logos
-
Hello,
Can anyone give me the code for inserting a logo file from my computer onto the top of the blog template?, positioning, etc? I am using the Simpla template. Thank you.

Can we start with a link to your wordpress.COM blog? The one in your user name is not hosted here.

The theme you’re using doesn’t support the custom header feature.
If you would like to have a custom header I recommend changing
themes by going to Dashboard->Design, Once you find a theme that
supports custom headers that you like you’ll need to go to
Dashboard->Design->Custom Header Then click browse once you
click browse you can search for the image you would like as your
custom header on your computer.Do Note you’ll need to make sure that the image is exact Width
& Height before uploading from your computer. You can find the width & height on the custom header page in your
dashboardI Recommend using the free software Gimp to re size the image
to match the width & Height requirements.Gimp->http://www.gimp.org/

It’s easier if you give a direct link: http://theclasstrip.wordpress.com and even easier if you just link your wordpress.com blog directly to your username.
The easiest way to add a logo is to put it in a text widget. Upload the image, grab the url and put the code in a text widget in your sidebar. If you want to reposition this, you’ll need the paid CSS upgrade and you’ll need to know how to use it.
Also, I read some of your blog and enjoyed it very much. I liked the cupcakes a lot but I remembered seeing the same pictures on Flickr. Just so you know, the Flickr community guidelines require a link back to the Flickr page whenever they are used.

Thank you all so much. And Rosclark, I will add that ink to Flickr.
Thanks for making me aware of the guideline!

Hi Ros, I tried your instructions for adding the logo using a text widget but I’m doing something wrong. It just shows up the text of the URL and no image! Is there something I’m supposed to type before the URL text?

You have to put the url in a html tag like this
<a href="url of your image"><img src="url of your image" alt="logo" /></a>
