Adding a camera icon beside text to link to an image
-
I have just started a second blog/archive — https://chrisforestprotectionstearmans.wordpress.com/ — linked to my first one. I have lists of aircraft, and I would like to add a camera icon beside an entry to indicate that the entry has an associated image(s) so that the viewer can click on the icon and see the image. This is commonly done in many sites, such as this one: http://www.airport-data.com/search/search2.html?field=model&search=Search&code=Boeing%20A75N1%28PT17%29
I’ve searched but cannot find a way to do this. Note: I am not talking about a widget; it is actually a link via an icon.
Is this possible? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
Yes it seems like this would be possible. You could download an open source camera icon from here: Google Icons.
You could upload the icon and using html create a table and then insert the icon into the table using the Add Media button.
With some additional steps you can add an image link. WordPress has a guide here:

Follow-up question. I’m working on a draft page that will have lots of links to images. I can easily post an image to the draft page, but i want to LINK to them (maybe 50 images, each on its separate page). I tried to create a draft page for an image and link it to the mother draft page, but the link would not take, probably because both were drafts. :-(
How can I do this in the best way?

You could still add the link, though the link would not be active until you published. Each page as a permalink at the top. Take that page permalink and add it as an image link. WordPress as a permalink guide here:
