Added Widget Not Showing Up
-
Hello,
I just added the widget, “Top Posts & Pages,” but it is not showing up in a refreshed screen. Cannot figure out why. https://resume4grads.wordpress.com/
As to tallying the views, a caveat is declared, “Top Posts & Pages by views are calculated from 24-48 hours of stats. They take a while to change.” Not sure if the widget is not appearing because the site doesn’t have enough views.
Specific help is appreciated. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Widgets can be configured to appear only on certain pages (or be hidden on certain pages) by clicking on the Visibility button.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibilityIf that is not the issue then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. Thanks, timethief.
I just want the top viewed posts to be listed in a widget at the right-hand side of my site. I did see that Visibility option. And in the pursuit of wanting the most viewed posts listed in that widget, I selected the “Date” option with “all date archives” assuming that will force the most viewed posts to appear in the “Top Posts & Pages.”
So what should I do–go through each of the pages on my site to see where that widget may be showing up? Not sure how to resolve this.

Thanks. I actually tried following your directions. I typed modlook in the only empty box in the sidebar but it didn’t seem to stick or take right away. I see it there now. Not sure if that is the result of your efforts to do so. Thanks.

Hi there –
I’ve added the widget to 2 different widget areas, the sidebar and footer 1. You’ll see that they are configured differently, so you can play around with settings and location. Let me know if you do not see the widgets still on the site.

lizkarkoski,
Thank you. How did you do that?
The widgets in the footer displays 5 posts versus the 1 post for the sidebar widget. I’d like to get that 5-post display right where that 1-post widget is and remove the 1-post widget.
How did you do that? Do you have a link or tutorial video? Thank you. Thank you very much.

Okay, so two different widgets–“Top Posts” v. “Recent posts.” Got it.
I still don’t understand why the widget didn’t appear when I tried creating it.

The widget in the sidebar was not working so I just removed it and re added it fresh. Which did the trick. Let me know if you need any further help.
