  I’d like to start a page where people can nominate their favorite product in advance of a poll on those products. Is there a template or code for such a thing?

  Hello Warren,
  You could use Polldaddy to create a custom poll for your site. Here are step by step instructions to create the poll:

  On a side note, I will be in Ohio in a few weeks. I decided to fly into Columbus instead of Cleveland, to see family in Ashland. I clearly see that I should have considered Cleveland. What a nice town!
