Accounting/Service – One Plugin – Too Much To Ask?

  • I’ve had this pain now going on two years. Since Freshbooks removed it’s service tickets from its accounting software, it’s been a nightmare for me and my clients. I can’t seem to find a plugin that will allow my clients to sign into one system and see their entire invoicing/service history.

The ones I have found, it’s just way too simple. I can’t set hierarchy or filter out user ranking, visual limitations, etc…

The world of Plugins has become a mass array of noise, and the filtering down simply lines them up like Google or Bing searches. I’m hoping out there somewhere, is a person who successfully found that needle in the haystack, I so desperately need……

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Over here on the wordpress.com platform we hardly ever use plugins. Best chance to find a solution are the people from Freshbooks.

  • That’s extremely odd considering WordPress itself has a plugins suggestion page, and that the actual WordPress editor includes a dedicated section to plugins……

  • But you are posting into the support forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com. Here only pre-installed plugins are used on free sites. Business plan owners here can install plugins but with access to Livechat support with staff they don’t need to visit here. Best to register an account and ask in the .org forum found within this link.

  • Hi there,

As explained above, you’re posting in the support forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com, and we mainly provide support in this forum for free users who can’t use plugins on their site. So we don’t have the expertise in this forum to make this type of plugin recommendation, as neither the staff nor the volunteers in this forum work with plugins on a daily basis.

Many of the plugins that can be used on WordPress.com are made by the community on WordPress.org, that also makes the open source WordPress software. So the people in that community do have the expertise to help you with something like this. You can find those forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

From your support history in our system it looks like you’re also using WooCommerce? If you’re specifically looking for something that integrates with the WooCommerce plugin, you can also try asking in the WooCommerce forums at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

  • Thank you. You are correct, I am in the wrong site. My apologies. The .com and .org have always thrown me.. :)
