New to The Daily Post? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’re invited to get involved in our Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.
2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use a “postaday2011″ or “postaweek2011″ tag.
3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS
Oh no… we don’t have winter where I am 🙂 I’m going to have to go waaaaay back into my archives for this one.
Be back later! Good luck to everyone.

No new pictures for this year as the UK hasn’t had any proper snow…well, the East hasn’t had anything properly anyway. So I’ve had to dig out last year’s photos.

Winter as in “snow”? There is no snow in Mexico… will have to think on some other way winter happens down here…

This ought to be an easy challenge for me, except it’s spring right now where I live — high winds and warm weather and the snow is melting fast. . . makes the challenge more challenging.

Winter has not shown up here at all. It’s supposed to be really cold but the temperatures have been mild. It’s quite annoying since I miss the cold.

hey all of you in southern climes or the opposite hemisphere….of course we can participate!! as with all these weekly challenges, the photo selected is an interpretation of the topic. winter isn’t just snow and ice! I’m really looking forward to doing this one and can’t wait to see other’s creative ideas too!!

I concur! It’s about representing winter where you are in whatever way that happens. Does not have to be a blatant interpretation.

Am in total agreement. Born in Hawaii and now living in cold and rainy Seattle, you can imagine where my heart…and body…lie. Actually…you might not. Click below and come see what winter means to me… 😉 http://hugmamma.com/2011/12/30/weekly-photo-challenge-winter/

I love this photo. Sadly, winter looks pretty much like spring, summer and fall here in Florida. I miss (some of the) winter we had when we lived in Central New York.

Before moving to Seattle, we had lived in Connecticut, and before that Long Island. We still get some change of color here, but nothing like back east.
but i definitely don’t miss shoveling out from under snow, and driving on ice…give me rain… though i’d prefer sun… 🙂
