Through. Often framing your photo’s composition through something else is the best thing you could do to it. It gives the viewer even more context into what your eye saw in that moment in time. Sometimes it modifies the entire tone or meaning of the photo.

New to The Daily Post? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’re invited to get involved in our Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

I was out at Ellis Island not to long ago, and I could see the Statue of Liberty through the beautiful arch shaped windows – it was, at least in my eyes beautiful. I couldn’t image all the immigrants who sat in that hall waiting to be “processed” and looked through the window into their future. http://jmeyersforeman.wordpress.com/2012/02/10/ellis-island/
