Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

One great thing you did for sure was to start a blog. You will never be alone now! Glad to see you are recovering. I know people who have gone through it and i can only imagine what it feels. I have written posts on how it feels. But do not want to encourage you to read it if it’s going to make it worse.

Hi bloggers and readers!
I am not sure how you all will take it, but here it is:
Since a long time, I have been observing that there are huge misunderstandings between people of different faiths and religions. These misunderstandings are based on misconceptions about each others’s religion.
As a Muslim, I thought that I should present a clear and open explanation of what Islam is to the people around the world, so that it helps battle misconceptions and improves inter-faith relations.
Here, have a look at this blog which I have written. Every type of feedback is welcome 🙂
Blog title: Who is Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ? Why is he such an important figure in Islam?

Hey Ahmed. This post was very well written. I like how you structured the post around key questions that readers might have. This made it easy to read and understand. Thanks for writing on such a decisive issue such as religion. We all need more education when it comes to experiences outside of our own.

Hi Elina, I am really happy you read it and liked it. Thank you very much for your encouraging words. Hope it reaches more people. Also, I would love it if you suggest how can the blog be improved further.

Honestly, your site is very well designed and presented. I would assume that you’re trying to reach a bigger audience. Are you using tags in your posts?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Thank you. The design and presentation is all due to a theme. I went for minimalism as it helps readers focus on content. And yes, I do use lots of tags in posts as they increase their reach.

Tags are great ways to boost engagement. I’m sure there are Facebook groups that discuss either religion or Islam. You could post there for more readers and suggestions.

Hi Elina,
I went through your blog and found it really interesting. I plan to follow it regularly as I have always nurtured a wish to master European languages. It’s so amazing that you have learnt so many languages in such a short time. Seeing this, I think you can master Arabic also with the same proficiency you have shown in other languages. I am sure you will find Arabic very interesting. 🙂 This will totally change the way you see the holy Quran which you intend to read.

The European languages are beautiful, but every language has its own unique beauty. I haven’t mastered them all. I’m still in the beginner stages for most of them. But I do know Spanish very well. Enough to read and understand classic literature in Spanish.
Now that you’ve mentioned it, I’ve always wanted to read holy texts in their original languages. There are some things that just can’t be translated.
Maybe in the future I will consider Arabic or Farsi. (I hope those two languages are related, and I’m not sounding ignorant.) The script of Arabic itself is beautiful.

Can’t agree with you more! the holy texts cannot be translated in their complete form and if we want to understand them as they are, we should learn their language.
Also, the script of Farsi and Arabic is nearly same. So, if you learn, you will find it easy to learn the other. However, just like French and English share similar scripts but have different dialects, Arabic and Farsi also have dialects that are not similar.

Arabic is more widely spoken compared to Farsi, right?

Hello all, few days back I wrote a poem on Depression. This one is a continuation. I would prefer you just understand the pain and actually don”t relate to it because no one deserves to go through this.
I will appreciate any feedback and even a conversation!

Hi everyone. Hope you all are having a great day. This is a part of one of my favorite poems that I wrote:
“All she saw was red,
as she fell in the dark blue sea.
They called out for her
but the sea’s calling was louder.
What have they done to me?
Her voice echoed into oblivion.
As the sea roared in pain and anguish,
all she saw was red.”

Hi everyone! My name is Anna and I am relatively new to blogging. My blog is all about diy and how-tos, especially related to home decor and pets. I recently posted a DIY Wedding Countdown Frame tutorial and would love some feedback about how to make my tutorials better. They definitely make sense to me, but I’d love tips for how to make them more user-friendly.
Thank you in advance for your advice and community!
