Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Hi fellow bloggers, I’ve just published this post. I’m generally happy with it, and I also feel that I haven’t ended it very well, like there’s something missing. I would be grateful for some feedback:

Hi, I thought the ending was ok. You might feel it needs another sentence, but not much at all. It was still an enjoyable read 🙂

the part about the students who spend all that time with the seniors was really cool and the idea about valuing our elders was poignant.

I think it was okay!
If you feel something is missing, you can try and put the last line ‘that’s value right there’ in the next line.. like separate it from the previous line..
That should do the trick I hope!🌸

Good morning, all!
I recently posted a spur-of-the-moment thing about my failed SAT. It was probably one of the worst days I’ve had this year. It’s not very uplifting at all, but I would seriously appreciate some feedback on this. Would love to know if anyone can relate to how I’m currently feeling

Recently I have published travel post about magnificent archipelago of Socotra. Unfortunately due to the civil war in the Yemen this unique piece of land is unreachable. Nevertheless I would like to share the information and photos with you. Please feel free to leave a comment under the post I you wish.

Hello there! I recently started blogging and would like to hear some thoughts on how I can improve the way I put my thoughts into words. I’ve added two posts so far, one is a bit on the motivational genre and the second one is a response to a hashtag which went viral few months ago. I hope to hear some feedback and tips on how I can improvise. Thanks! https://wishnumberthree.wordpress.com/

I thought your content was wonderful and your writing style was easy to read. The overall theme of your blog is very fitting to what it seems you’re trying to accomplish. I greatly appreciate someone’s willingness to stand up to injustice in a way that is rightly angry, but that doesn’t fuel the violent hatred that is so prevalent in most conflicts. One common suggestion is that readers seem to respond better to post that break up the text into smaller chunks and incorporate photos throughout. I personally thought the way you formatted this piece was perfect, but that’s just a thought to keep in mind that may be of use in later posts. Overall, I very much enjoyed reading your post.

Just read the first part of it and it is so intriguing! I am eager to learn more about what is happening. I loved the part about flipping the lens. The only critique I would have is that maybe some of it is a little too descriptive for my taste but a lot of people really like that.

Hello all, I just finished a series of related posts – my first posts in a while. The posts deal with a classic debate among Christians, whether the Bible teaches that we are saved by faith or good works (or both). I’d love to get some feedback on it, if anyone would like to give it a read. Thanks!

Blogmas is a Christmas celebration for bloggers. Every day until Christmas, you post something Christmas related (poem, story, recipe, etc) until Dec. 25th

What drives you to come up with different fonts for each blog? It’s a bit distracting for me, but I would understand if it reflects the feelings you have while you write.

I never even considered it might be distracting, thanks for the input! Yea, I usually type my posts on a word document first and then play around with different fonts until I find one I think suits the poem/ topic.

Hello Friends!
My name is the 6 Million P Man (not really it’s Ed but that’s the name I go by) and I am a photographer both of film and digital although as much as I can I prefer to shoot just film. Why don’t you check out my photo heavy blog and let me know what you think? Perhaps you’ll see something you like?
I’ll get you started; these are a couple of links to some medium format images I regularly post, hence the numbering system of the title;

I think your blog is adorable and so much fun to read. I was nodding my head along with every word, as I read about your interview process. Thankfully my awkward experience wasn’t face to face, but I’ve read some questions on a paper application that were incredibly personal. Definitely not something I wanted to answer to a complete stranger who shouldn’t be asking. I very much enjoyed the read, and I hope you found a better job than that one!
